Purpose Statement

Seek Life, Share Life, Obey ONE Life:
Focusing our lives around ONE savior, Jesus Christ!

Obey the Lord:
Those who OBEY his commands live in him and he in them
I John 3:24

We are called throughout scripture to obey the commands and instructions God has laid before us. As a family we strive to be people devoted to living the life Jesus called us to live by following his example.

Love All People:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all you soul and with all your mind and with all your strength... and love you neighbor as yourself.  There is no commandment greater than these.

Mark 12:30-32

In scripture we are commanded to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. In many instances this can be very difficult, but Jesus never said being a Christian would be easy. We try to display Christ through our love that we show others. It is by our actions that we will influence people for Christ. We want to love people as Christ loved people.

Seek the Lost:

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.

Luke 19:10

Just as Jesus came to seek out those who were lost and needed to know the message of God's love and grace, so we also set it as our mission to do the same. Our whole purpose here on earth as Christians is to share the message of Jesus Christ. As a family, we want to go and seek out those who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ instead of waiting for them to come to us. We strive to be pro-active in our community always looking for ways to influence people for Christ.

Share the Word:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

Matthew 28:18-20

As a family we want to teach the truth to all people just as Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28. We understand that our mission as Christians is to share the truth with everyone we know and we take this mission very seriously. In everything we do we want this mission to be before us guiding our thoughts and actions.

Teach Each Other:

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Deuteronomy 11:18-19

As a family we always want to have the word of God before us guiding our steps. In a world that so desperately needs the truth, how can we share it with them if we don't know it ourselves. We strive to be students of the word always looking to the Bible for answers.

Serve the Masses:

Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Matthew 20:26-28

Just as Jesus came to serve people so should we also strive to serve others. As a family we desire to serve our community in whatever way we can. We live in a very selfish world and its easy to fall into that trap, but we want to be people that are known for their love and service.
